Visit to the old yellow shed

Happy Thursday.
I have been having so much fun taking pictures.  I love rusty, crusty, chippy, peelie stuff!
It makes a great subject for photography.  Just wanted to share some of the pics.  Hope you enjoy.
Manzanita trees also make good subjects.  We have an abundance of them on the property.
I love the branches.  The way they bend.  Even the dead trees can be beautiful.  My husband makes
beautiful lamps out of them.  I will post a pic soon of that.
Have a great day.

From Trash To Treasure

Look at this ugly old shelf.  I have had it for 13 years. I decided to toss it out at the thrift store.
Then I thought again.  I admit it, I am a lazy artist.  I didn't want to go through all that hassle  and
strip all the paint off and sand and and and!!!  Then a light bulb went off.  I could cover
it with sheet music.  Soo that's just what I did.  Look at it now.  Here's some close ups.
I am so happy I decided to keep it.  I love decorating it and setting up little vingettes.
Thank's for looking.  Have a great evening.

I'm truly BLESSED!!

Happy Wednesday to you!
I have been out playing with the camera again.  I have to fill up my photo bank again because when
my computer crashed I lost everything.  Hopefully, I can get it back.
You know, even with all of that, God has been so good to me.  I am so lucky to live in a beautiful area.
I have a wonderful husband,. an awesome step son.  Even when bad things happen I have got to try to
see the good and know that God is in control of my life.  Not me!
I haven't shared this here yet but in April I lost my job.  I had been at this job for just under 10
years.  It was a very stressful job.  A soul crushing job that I honestly didn't want to do anymore.
What do you do in this economy?  I couldn't quit.  There is really nothing available where I live.
I honestly felt that I couldn't go on with out risk to my health.  I cried out to God.  Please get me
out of this job!  I can't do it anymore!  It was a totally heart felt prayer.  3 days later, I lost the job.
I don't know what's next in my adventure but, I know I am going to put my trust in God.
If you are going through any kind of a struggle,  please know that God loves you and if you
put your faith in him he will see you through.  Just believe it!!!
Have a blessed day!

Fabulous yard sale find!

Happy Tuesday to all of you.
Saturday I went on the yard sale trail and found this fabulous little goodie.
Can you believe it is 110 years old.  Look at the detail of the clasp.  I am so intrigued with old pics.
I always wonder about their lives.  Pretty cool stuff!  I stopped at another sale where this woman had all
these boxes of beads, lace and interesting wood pieces and every thing I asked about she said,  "oh that's not for sale"  UGH!!!!  Why would anyone have all these boxes out, full of goodies, and not want to sell it?
It was very frustrating!

I have to show you my friend Betty's beautiful salesmans case.  Sorry no blog.  She is the most amazing artistic woman and she has a heart of gold.  I just love her.  Let me take you on a little tour of her place.

If you look close at the last picture you will see 2 cows.  They are named Hamburger and T Bone.  LOL
Sorry about the crazy way this blog posts.  I wanted the text between the pics.  Still have a lot to learn.
Have a great day or evening depending on where you are.

120 viruses and a hard drive crash later...

I'm back in the game.  Hi everyone!   MY COMPUTER CRASHED!!!!!
How in the world can you get 120 viruses?  It's not like I go to bad sites.  I visit YOU!
I know all of you don't have bugs.  LOL.  Anyway, it has been a crazy week.  I learned I am lost
without this here computer.  I rely on all the inspiration I receive from you.I can't tell you how many times
I walked into the office to get online and remembered that I couldn't.

I have so many new pictures to share.  I am totally revamping my studio.  I'm getting rid of so much stuff.
It's hard to let go but I feel like I should be on a episode of hoarders.  That scares me!
I will be posting pics soon.
Have a great day!

Flower garden pictures and a glimmer mist tutorial

Hello there everyone who visits my little blog.  I hope you all are doing well and staying cool.
It was 103 here today and will be hotter tomorrow.  Today I drove to Oakhurst to go grocery
shopping, "and stick my head in the freezer lol."  I Forgot My Wallet!!!!!  I got all the way through
the self checkout and did not have any way to pay.  I was so mad at myself.  Have you ever done
anything stupid like that?  Let me tell you it is not the first time I have done that.  LOL.
I have been playing with my camera again.   Here's some pictures for you.

The next picture if it loads correctly is my recyled can project.
I glued wooden beads under it .

That adds a little something extra to it.  To make your own glimmer mist you
need to get one of those travel spray bottles.  I got mine at target.  Fill it with
about 1/2 and inch, less or more if you like, of the paint you like.  Then get
Windsor & Newton iridescent medium and pour about an inch, then add water.
These instructions are not set in stone.  Play with it.
It really is a pretty way to add some shimmer to
your projects.  I like to decorate the bottle with
old sheet music .

If you have stuck with me this long thank you.  You
are a trouper.  Have a great evening.
